The Big Match: PLF hosts MLS Supporter’s Shield

In an exciting partnership with FC Cincinnati’s Die Innenstadt Supporters Club, PLF had the opportunity to showcase the MLS Supporter’s Shield at its July 9th Ambassador event at Madtree Brewing in Cincinnati, OH. Each year, Major League Soccer awards the Supporter’s Shield to the club with the highest points in the season. As the undisputed 2023 champion, FC Cincinnati proudly hosts the Shield this season. 

In a soccer themed evening, PLF supporters and FC Cincinnati fans enjoyed fellowship, food, and drinks. We shared stories of the 30+ years of work in Lima, by former St. Ignatius and St. X teacher Paul Lammermeier, and the work being done to secure his legacy for the Peruvian youth and young adults still in need.

Thank you to all who joined us, especially those from the St. X classes of 1976 and 1983. We loved sharing the evening with you all!  Our next PLF Ambassador gathering is scheduled for September 10th from 5:30-7:30 PM, and will include a tour of the Madtree brewing facilities.
