Mariana Isla

(10 years old) came to the Casa Teresa just after the New Year with Ana Paula. She was previously in a private home of family members south of Lima. Living with grandparents, it was recommended by one of the nums working in the local parish, that she come to the Casa Teresa to giver her a better home life and educational opportunities. She studied hard and passed the entrance exam for a local parochial shcool, “Patrocinio de San Jose,” about four blocks from the house. She is outgoing and with a wonderful personality and eager to do things with Melina, the house mother.
